I will be attaching newsletters as soon as I can get this up and running on the school website.  This should be an easy way for parents to access information and cut down on the paper trail.

kidwriting

Our class has been hard at work learning to write.  I use the process called kidwriting.  This is a very powerful tool to get children to believe they are writers and readers!  The guidance counselor came in for the first time on Thursday and brought some things to share with the children so they could get to know her.  One little girl raised her hand and shared with the counselor that an important thing for her to know about our class was that we did kidwriting.  I had a smile on my face all day about that!  Sometimes I forget how much and how quickly they identify with the activities we do in class.

Sanibel Stoop

In the fall we went to Sanibel Island for a day trip while at Anna Maria. It would not be right to not do the “Sanibel Stoop” while there. I got the shells that I gave to you all (the class) while there.Mrs. Wilburn doing the Sanibel Stoop
